Vintage French Horse & Carriage Advertising Sign

A wonderfully timeworn vintage advertising sign sourced in France, originally created to promote the rental of horse- and pony-drawn carriages (location de charrettes, cheval et poney).

Printed in deep forest green and burgundy against a warm cream ground, the sign features a charming illustration of a horse-drawn carriage surrounded by original French typography. The advertisement offered carriage rentals “with or without driver” by the day or week, along with services for promenades, picnics, weddings, and other occasions—a delightful glimpse into another era of French life.

Years of wear have given this piece exceptional character.
